Accuplacer

To enroll in community college or a university, students must have a passing score on the ACCUPLACER test. Massabesic Center for Adult Learning (MCAL) is a testing site where this computerized test can be taken. Because it is computerized, immediate score reporting will be available. Students and community members can call MCAL to make an appointment.

Accuplacer is an assessment that measures your knowledge in math, reading and writing as you prepare to enroll in college-level courses. It is used to identify your strengths and weaknesses in subject areas.
The results of the assessment are used to (1) to provide an opportunity to brush up on skills in reading, writing or math, if needed; and (2) to place you in the appropriate college courses for your skill level.
